Grief doesn't have to be the end of your story.
I'm Becky Beck — a grief recovery educator and chaplain.
Through The Grief Cycle, a framework I created for navigating grief, I teach practical, faith-grounded principles to guide you from the weight of loss toward healing, hope, joy, and a renewed sense of purpose. Through speaking engagements, workshops, and community presentations, I walk alongside you as you find your way through grief one step at a time. There is always hope and joy to be found on your journey through grief and on the other side of loss.
"It's like having a one-on-one conversation with a good friend."
What I Speak About
Finding Joy in The Grief Cycle
Keynote · Workshop · Presentation | 45–60 minutes
You didn't just lose someone. You lost a piece of yourself. And everyone keeps telling you it gets easier, but no one tells you how to get there.
This presentation offers what grief culture rarely does: a path forward that doesn't ask you to rush, minimize, or perform your healing. Through The Grief Cycle's four interconnected stages — mourning, lamenting, gratitude, and celebration — you'll discover how God meets you in every one of them, and how joy and grief can coexist. Whether your loss happened last week or years ago, The Grief Cycle meets you exactly where you are.
Embracing Your Seasons of Grief
Keynote · Workshop · Presentation | 45–60 minutes
Just as the earth moves through seasons of change and renewal, our grief has seasons too. This presentation explores the healing power of each one — fall's invitation to surrender, winter's call to slow down, spring's promise of new life, and summer's return to flourishing.
Through scripture and the life of Jesus Christ, we'll explore how God meets us in every season of grief — bringing peace, comfort, and even joy through our suffering.
Grief 101: The Class You Never Knew You Needed
Keynote · Workshop · Presentation | 45–60 minutes
College is full of change — and grief often comes with it. From death and breakups to shifting friendships, homesickness, or life simply not turning out as planned, grief shows up in more places than most students realize.
In Grief 101, you'll learn to recognize grief in your own life, gain practical tools to move through it instead of feeling stuck, and discover how to support the people around you who are hurting too. You might shed some tears — but we'll laugh a lot too. And you'll leave with something most people never expect to find in a grief class: hope.
Lessons on Grief from Women in Scripture
Keynote · Workshop · Presentation | 45–60 minutes
Some of the most powerful grief stories ever told belong to women in scripture. Through the lives of Naomi, Mary and Martha, Ruth, Hannah, and Mary the mother of Jesus, we'll explore what it looks like to lament, mourn, find gratitude, and ultimately celebrate — even in the middle of profound loss.
These women knew grief intimately. And through their stories, we discover that God has always been present in our pain — and that healing, hope, and even joy are possible on the other side.
