It has now been 22 years since we lost our first born daughter, at age 32, in the prime of her life, but this beautiful life was snuffed out by a drunk driver. For more than three years I was full of hate for the young man who seemingly, without remorse or thought, chose to drive while intoxicated, killing our daughter. I wish I had this book back in 2001 as I was stuck in anger, depression, and denial. There are so many thoughts and feelings that this book ignites or will ignite in the reader, even when tragedy has numbed their senses. Even after 22 years, I experienced many tears as I read this book. Becky brings the Savior and His teachings to life, giving praise and adoration where it belongs. She has a special talent to put into words such deep and meaningful emotions and thoughts.

Finding Joy in The Grief Cycle is short, thought provoking, and to the point. It is raw and real, yet full of hope. Each chapter contains helpful questions to ponder and simple invitations to act on to facilitate moving forward through the grief cycle. The principles discussed are based on scripture and beautifully express how anyone can invite Jesus into their grief, ultimately turning mourning and lamentation into joy through Him.

You don't "get over" the loss of someone you love, but you can get through it.

My short book, Finding Joy in The Grief Cycle, is a simple guide which offers tools and ideas for working through grief in a way that brings healing and joy into the experience.

It is possible to make friends with grief, and allow it to bless and change your life for the better.
